If It Seems Like a Good Idea, It's Probably Against the Law
When I was a kid, grownups used to say that we live in an INFORMATION AGE. What that meant was that smart people could look things up at the library. So, a lot of people who were intimidated and/or busy never went to the library and they never got the INFORMATION.
Now, we are way beyond that. The web makes us all smart. Talk about democracy. All the INFORMATION you could possibly want. If you wanted to you could learn how to build a car just by Googling it. I have a new slogan. "If you can Google it, then you can Doogle it." (Get it? Goo rhymes with Do. Forget about all the other letters, they're all silent.)
What is my point?
California Penal Code Section 550. That is my point!!!!!
Do you know what a common homeowners/condo/renters policy covers?
Is that professional DJ equipment, which you use in your side business, and which was stolen out of your car, covered under a homeowners/condo/renters policy?
What's the answer?
No. The answer is no. Not covered. Because those policies cover property in your personal life, not your business life.
So what do you do?
Do you just say that the DJ equipment that you use in your side business is for personal use?
No. Do you know why?
California Penal Code Section 550. That's why!!!!!!!!

Can you change your mind? No.
Can you take it back? No.
