Annoying Phone Calls
Penal Code 653m: Annoying telephone call are when you call the other person using obscene language and/or threatening to inflict injury on somebody or property of a person or their family.
Animal Abuse
Penal Code 597: This prohibits maliciously, intentionally, or cruelly towards all animals and can be charged either as a misdemeanor or felony.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Penal Code 245(a)(1): Assault with a Deadly Weapon, commonly known as ADW, is an assault committed with any type of deadly weapon or by means of force that is likely to cause great bodily injury to another.
Assault with a Firearm
Penal Code 245(a)(2): Assault with a firearm is when you allegedly, shoot someone with a gun, point a loaded gun at someone in a threatening manner, or pistol-whip someone with a gun.
Auto Burglary
Penal Code 459: The crime of auto burglary is covered under California's burglary laws. To be guilty of this crime you must have altered a car's lock or trunk as simply opening an unlocked car door or trunk doesn't isn't auto burglary.
Auto Insurance Fraud
Penal Code (PC) sections, PC 548, 549, 550 and 551: Auto Insurance Fraud:
PC 548
People are generally charged under this when the person allegedly has somebody "steal" the car as PC 548 prohibits intentionally damaging, abandoning, or disposing of an insured car in order to submit an insurance claim.
PC 549
This prohibits referring someone to an auto body shop or doctor knowing the person/company you send the referral to intends to submit a fraudulent auto insurance claim.
PC 550
Most people who are accused auto insurance fraud generally find themselves facing this charge, which prohibits knowingly presenting a fraudulent insurance claim for loss or injury, knowingly making or signing a false document, knowingly "staging" an accident, and claiming to live in another city in order to obtain a cheaper auto insurance policy.
PC 551
This PC is designed to punish auto repair dealers who offer insurance agents and/or adjusters monetary compensation to refer customers to their shop.
Bank Fraud
U.S.C. 18 Part I Chapter 63 § 1344 - The federal crime of bank fraud is when you basically defraud a bank for your personal gain by means of false or fraudulent pretenses.
Battery on a Police Officer
Penal Code 243: Battery on a police officer prohibits, like PC 242 battery, the unwanted or unjustified touching of another person no matter how slight and how you're charged depends on the severity of the officer's injuries.
Bench Warrant
Penal Code 166: Contempt of Court. Generally this includes failing to appear for court, failing to pay a fine, which can even be failure to pay a traffic ticket, and/or failing to obey any other court order, particularly in domestic violence cases. In failing the court's orders a judge issues a warrant from the bench, hence the name bench warrant.
Penal Code 945: Grand Jury Indictment. If you've been indicted by a California grand jury and you're not in custody when the indictment is received the judge will issue a bench warrant for your arrest.
Penal Code 978.5: Failure to Appear. A California bench warrant authorizes police to arrest you and bring you directly to court, which usually involves a stop at the local jail for a time. Now if you have a misdemeanor bench warrant it may only be executed between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., unless the police officer has "good cause" to apprehend you outside of those times.

Burglary/Auto Burglary
Penal Code 459: Burglary is entering a structure, inhabited dwelling, other enclosure or vehicle with the intent to commit a felony or a petty theft once inside.
Burglary Tools
Penal Code 466: PC 466 prohibits you from possessing burglary tools when you have the intent to break into a building or car.
Carjacking
Penal Code 215: Carjacking is the taking of a vehicle from someone's immediate possession accomplished through force or fear.
Child Endangerment
Penal Code 273a: Child endangerment is when a person places a child in a dangerous situation, or allows a child to be placed in a dangerous situation without taking steps to protect the child.
